The best way to describe this San Diego wedding is heartfelt. This beautiful day at Martin Johnson House and Scripps Seaside Forum was a long time coming for Madeline and Josh. And there’s something about these two that screams “soulmates”. And that couldn’t have been more evident in the way that they looked at each other, in their interactions, and the way that their friends and family spoke about them. They are just two beautiful people inside and out and we feel lucky to have gotten to know them and shared in such a wonderful day.
I (Jackie) first met Madeline at a women in science networking event and we got to chatting about our scientific endeavors and because Madeline is a graphic designer for science communication, we also got to chatting about our art as well. And lo and behold one week later I saw Madeline again at a creative women networking event for boss ladies in the art and makers industry. And I knew at that moment that we were kindred spirits. So when Madeline asked us to photograph her wedding we were so thrilled!
And the day couldn’t have been any more beautiful. There was a relaxed feeling all day long. A gentle breeze stuck with us through the trees at Martin Johnson House and along the shoreline at Scripps Seaside Forum. The light was incredible for their portrait session in the fields near UC San Diego. And Josh and Madeline were just as sweet as can be, with many happy tears and heartfelt moments. We especially loved when their pup Luna saw them for the first time after the ceremony. She was so overjoyed!
Madeline and Josh – we could not be more happy for you two, so congratulations! And we hope you had a wonderful time in Croatia!
