This Seattle lifestyle motherhood session is one of my favorites to date! Last fall I was welcomed into the home of a friend from high school who married her high school sweetheart (like Matt and I) and has the sweetest boy named Ulysses. Bridget’s home has the most beautiful Anthropologie meets old world England style, designed in every nook and cranny with her keen creative eye. We wanted to create moments for her and her son in areas of their home that are special to them because after all, this is where most of their memories are made.
Last year, we longed to find a house of our own to settle into. There is something so special about having that place to call home, to watch your kids grow in, and to make memories in. We finally found the house at the end of the year and we were lucky enough to have our offer accepted. And I can tell you that there is nothing more satisfying than hearing our son’s giggles down the hallway or seeing him on his tiptoes peering out the window at the birds. There is nothing more rewarding than family dinners around an heirloom table or snuggling up on the couch to read that truck book one. more. time. Because our home is the backdrop for so many memories and so many yet to come.
It is hard for me to express my gratitude in being able to share in this small slice of Bridget and Ulysses life at home. For many mothers the daily grind is already so exhausting, and to be camera ready can feel almost impossible with your kids running around. And while I would encourage any mama out there to do an in-home session like this, I also understand that getting your home camera ready might be the last thing on your to do list!
That is why I created the spring motherhood mini sessions on Sunday May 2nd at my all-white, natural light studio in Seattle! I am teaming up with Jen Lagers Beauty and Rose Andrew Events for a floral-styled session for you and your kids. Get $100 off if you snag your spot before April 15 with code YAYMAMADAY – just head to bit.ly/JB-Mama-Minis for all the details and to sign up! Photos quickly turned around just in time for Mother’s Day. Let’s create beautiful memories together!
