For this gorgeous French-inspired engagement shoot, Dani of HauteFetes planned something super special at her home Bastide de Bonheur in Rancho Santa Fe for our couple getting married later this fall. It was a cozy and intimate picnic with a chic twist for this sweet couple. Here’s more about them straight from our lovely bride:
“On a rare chance intersect 6 years ago in the city of Chicago we met for a brief moment that has resulted in a year and half old baby boy and living in three cities across the country. One mystical evening of not intending or knowing we would some day be starting a family and getting married.
After that chance meeting we didn’t have contact for almost a year until he texted out of the blue to say happy 4th of July! From that day on, we communicated via long distance until he moved up from New Orleans to Chicago. Having to build a solid foundation through conversation and getting to know one another over 900 miles is no easy task. Many nights on Skype and returning each others’ phone calls, but through the unconventional process created a framework that allowed a bond to grow that was immeasurable.
Living in Chicago was great and exploring and experiencing what the city has to offer is something we willl always cherish. We also lived in Austin, TX and during that time we got a life changing surprise, 7lbs 13oz.
Fast forward – we’ve moved to Coronado, CA and not far from there on April 21st we got engaged on Catalina Island. While we always thought to have engagement pictures on the beach, our host suggested her French style home and it could not have been more perfect. I am beyond thankful for our wedding planner Dani, my photographers Jackie & Matt and lastly make-up + hair stylist Tiffany for making me so beautiful, I am beyond grateful for the best team.
Cheers, C’s”
